Russell Forest Run 5K & 10K on February 28

On your mark. Get set. Run! (for a great cause)
Runners of all ages are invited to join us for the 6th Annual Russell Forest Run, benefitting the Alexander City Schools Education Foundation (ACSEF).
The scenic course starts at Catherine’s Market at Russell Crossroads, winding its way through stands of towering pines and hardwoods, and ends within walking distance of The Stables and the post-race party.
The USA Track & Field certified (AL10003JD) 10K course includes a trip up Heaven Hill and a few rolling hills and is a great course for the beginner, as well as, the intermediate runner. The 5K course covers part of the 10K route and is perfect for walkers, beginners and intermediates.

Fees:
The 10K fee is $40. Participants receive a Russell Forest Run long sleeve high-tech running shirt. The 5K fee is $20 and participants receive a Russell Forest Run short sleeve cotton t-shirt.
Post-Race Party & Awards:
All participants, fans, family and friends are invited to join us for the post-race party and awards ceremony at The Stables featuring great food and drinks, including the now-famous Grits Bar, beer and live music! Awards for both the 5K and 10K are organized by ten-year age groups and start at 19 and under to 70+. Each award is a work of art, handcrafted from Russell Forest wood.
