New Lake Club is under construction

As promised, Russell Lands has turned its attention to building a key amenity in The Heritage, a new lakefront master-planned community. The promised amenity is The Benjamin Lake Club¸ Lake Martin’s first lakefront residents’ club. Our original plan was to open this new facility by June 1, 2025, and we are pleased to announce that we are on schedule.

We spent years planning The Benjamin with the assistance of Cooper Carry architects in Atlanta. Their beautiful design has been entrusted to contractor Brasfield & Gorrie to build the facility. This is the same contractor team that built the beautiful Wicker Point Golf Club clubhouse, which is also located in The Heritage.

The Benjamin Lake Club

The Benjamin promises to provide gathering spaces and recreational opportunities for property owners in The Heritage. The centerpiece for The Benjamin is the two-story clubhouse. The main level will provide large indoor gathering spaces suitable for receptions, community events, and much more. With its owners’ bar, adjacent meeting room, and expansive lake views, this will be a much-appreciated space. The lower level offers a large fitness room, aerobics room, treatment rooms, and locker rooms.

The lake is supposed to be about being outside. The Benjamin will provide good reasons to get outdoors. Immediately adjacent to the clubhouse is the resort pool complex (two pools), a snack bar, a beautifully landscaped trails system which leads to a lovely amphitheater, lakeside beach, and community dock system. (Yes, owners can boat up to The Benjamin.) Near the clubhouse is the tennis and pickleball facility (eight courts of each), pro shop, event lawns, and parking areas.
