Free Yoga on the Town Green

Whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned yogi, young or old, you’re invited to join us on The Town Green at Russell Crossroads every Saturday at 7:00 am for a FREE yoga session. With views of The Stable’s green pastures, The Town Green provides a beautiful and serene setting in which to relax and rejuvenate.

Yoga is more than a good way to relax – it’s packed with life-enhancing benefits:

  • According to a Boston University School of Medicine and McLean Hospital report, people who did one hour of asanas (a sequence of standing, sitting and balancing poses) raised their level of the brain chemical GABA by 27%. (Low GABA levels are linked with depression.) In a nutshell, yoga can improve your outlook!
  • It lowers blood sugar and LDL (“bad”) cholesterol and boosts HDL (“good”) cholesterol. In people with diabetes, yoga has been found to lower blood sugar, too.
  • It helps your circulation, especially in your hands and feet, and gets more oxygen to your cells, which helps them function better.

Remember, it’s FREE, fun, and open to beginners. So join us Saturdays at 7:00 am for yoga on The Green. All you need to bring is your mat and water. Namaste!
