The Alexander City Jazz Fest is back! For 26 years the Alexander City Jazz Fest has been a great event for everyone in Alexander City and the surrounding area. On Friday night, folks gather downtown Alexander City in Strand Park and at The AMP on Lake Martin on Saturday for a non-ticket concert that over the years has brought big time artists into the area. This year, the 27th year, is NO exception. 6:30 Saturday Night at The AMP, we welcome to the stage, from Atlanta, Georgia – shadowood. shadowood says that if you blended Jackopierce, RUN-DMC, Guster, CSNY, and Barenaked Ladies together, you’d have a shadowood smoothie, come see for yourself. At 8 – from New Orleans, don’t miss The Stooges Brass Band!  Closing the night at 9:30 from Tupelo, Mississippi it’s Paul Thorn! Paul is a Southern Rock, Country, Americana and Blues singer-songwriter whose style is a mix of blues, country and rock music. What a great Jazz Fest Weekend it’s going to be!
