You Can Still Register for this Saturday’s Russell Forest Run

The Russell Forest Run 10K and 5K is this Saturday! The shirts are in, the race packets are put together, the blanks for use in the machine gun that starts the run are made, and registrations are coming in!

Fifteen years ago, to help raise funds for the Alexander City Schools Education Foundation (ACSEF), the Russell Forest Run (10K and 5K) was born! Since then, through the support of local sponsors and hundreds of yearly runners, the run has given almost $120,000 to the ACSEF and our kids. Thanks to our 2023 sponsors and runners, we were able to give our largest donation to date to the Foundation! Thanks to all of you!

This year, as in the past, the Russell Forest Run will be held at Russell Crossroads! The starting line will be near the Town Green and the finish line near The Stables, the home of the post-race party, our World Famous Grits Bar, and live music by The Bank Walkers! The 10K will begin at 7:45am with the 5K to follow shortly at 7:55 on Saturday, February 24, 2024.

If you haven’t registered for the run, you still can. Click the link below, find the registration tab, and you’re set to join your friends in the Russell Forest. Online registration at the $40 price expires at 11:59pm Friday night. From midnight to 7am Saturday, you can register online for $50.
