Willows Addition Nearly Complete

Newly developed homesites due for May release

Russell Lands’ road building crews are in the home stretch of building the new roads that will access the far western end of The Willows of Willow Point. As of this writing, crews are placing the base material in preparation of paving the roads over the next two weeks.

The road extension will access 11 new lakefront homesites and will be the final collection of traditional homesites in The Willows. We offered the first collection of 27 waterfront lots in late spring of 2018. Next, we offered eight waterfront lots designed for our popular Russell Cabins in 2019. Due to rapid absorption of the first two collections, we introduced 29 waterfront lots in 2020. They sold quickly as well, with a total of 57 of those 64 properties having sold. Obviously, this is a very sought-after lakefront neighborhood.

The Willows has proven to be a very popular neighborhood due to a variety of factors. Being located near Willow Point Golf & Country Club is certainly a leading factor followed closely by where the neighborhood is located on Lake Martin. For many long-time lake lovers, especially those from Birmingham, the northwestern part of the lake is a favorite destination.

This part of the lake just lives and feels different than other areas due to slow, patient development and care for the forest that lines the lake in this area. To many people, The Willows just seems to represent what is best about Lake Martin—gently sloping land, beautiful water, big open views, and homesites shaded by tall timber.

This final phase of The Willows will likely be released via our Realtors^® on or about the 14^th of May. Prior to going on the open market, we are letting people who have expressed interest in acquiring property at Russell Lands know first.
