New Approved Builder unveils new lake home
Published: 04.24.2025
We are looking for the next generation of home builders on Lake Martin. We think we found one in Auburn-native Noah Emfinger. While Noah is younger than the average builder, he is not a baby to the construction industry. You might say, since his dad has been in the lumber industry for decades, that he was raised in sawdust.
Not only is Noah good at working with wood, but he has also learned how to operate just about every type of equipment needed to clear land and prepare a building site. Most builders today observe construction activity. Noah is Old School. He does much of the construction work meaning that he gives his projects lots of personal attention.
This new house he is completing and putting on the market for sale is in Baywood. While he is new to us, this is not his first project in Baywood. The first project was a custom home. This featured home is project number two, which was built with the intention of selling.
Noah, whose company is Noem Homes, LLC, picked a plan designed by very popular Lake Martin architect, Mitch Ginn. Mitch has been designing homes in our neighborhoods for over 20 years. It is possible that he has designed more Lake Martin homes than any other designer.
Noah picked up on the finer points of this design we call the Double Rock. This plan fits neatly onto lots that slope to the lake. There are two levels. One is on the drive-in level, and one is downstairs on the lake level. What we really like is what is on the two levels.
The upper, or main level, has an open-concept plan with kitchen, large island, living and dining all open and vaulted to give everyone a great gathering space. Also, on the main level are two bedroom suites, a pantry, and a laundry room. This floor also has what every lake home should have—a HUGE covered outdoor living area with fabulous lake views.
Downstairs is almost a mirror image of the main level. Large open concept with a “summer kitchenette,” a large family room, two bedroom suites and HUGE covered outdoor living areas. Did we mention the outdoor living space here is HUGE?
The house is perched up on an impressive hill to enhance the lake views with a cart path to provide easy access to the waterfront. Noah even thought about where you can keep the golf cart, in the two-car garage.
We invite you to take a look at this beautiful lake home soon. Noah will have it completed, cleaned, and ready for use by the first week of May. To schedule your personal tour, call one of our Sales Executives at 256.215.7011 or send them an e-mail today.
