Anticipated additions to The Willows underway

Russell Lands recently received approval for additions to The Willows of Willow Point. This development, first launched in 2018, has been very successful. Of the 27 traditional waterfront lots offered in 2018, only seven remain unsold, and 13 custom lake homes are either built or under construction. Additionally, five of the other owners are in some phase of home design, and a newly built home is ready for a new owner. See the Diamond View here >

The Diamond View in The Willows

The demand has been so strong for this new lake neighborhood that Russell Lands advanced its plans to add additional ownership opportunities in The Willows. These two additions were approved on October 7 and December 9, 2019, respectively.

Traditional Waterfront Homesites

The first opportunity is a new collection of waterfront homesites to the west of the properties noted above. The County approved construction of this addition on October 7, 2019, and Russell Lands’ crews are at work clearing the roads. This new addition, when complete this spring, will provide approximately 30 new waterfront homesites to The Willows.

Russell Cabins at The Willows

The second opportunity is the Russell Cabins at The Willows. This property type has been popular in three different areas: Nichols Cove, Rose Point and The Ridge. In each of those areas, lake ownership has been available in a land-and-luxury-cabin package built by Russell Lands subsidiary Classic Homes.

Final plat approval was granted on December 9 following completion of the new roads. Three of the 12 available lots are already under contract.

Release Dates

Russell Lands has already released the property in the cabin section due to intense demand. The release to market for the traditional waterfront homesites has not yet been determined. The pace of road construction will determine when that will occur, likely in the spring of 2020.
