SpringHouse Celebrates its “Second Opening Night”

Published: 08.15.2024

After much anticipation and eight months of significant repair and restoration, SpringHouse celebrated its “second opening night” last night, August 14. The atmosphere and rustic charm have been beautifully restored. Entering the restaurant, one would think the December 23 fire and subsequent water damage never happened.

The staff may have been more excited than anyone. “We’re back home,” Executive Chef and General Manager Pete McKenny told AL.com in an interview a few days ago. “Everyone is super excited.”

Sonya Sullivan said the staff felt like it was Christmas morning. And, in the kitchen, Sous Chef Adam Stroud remarked, “It’s great to be back in front of a real cooking fire,” (not electric).

SpringHouse would like to thank our patrons and guests for staying with us through months of “SpringHouse at Fanny’s,” where the nearby Fanny Goldmine Diner was transformed on Friday and Saturday nights, and Chef McKenny and his staff of cooks and servers kept the SpringHouse experience alive. We look forward to welcoming you soon.
