Four years ago, it was just an idea. Today, the Lake Martin Songwriter’s Festival has become a must-attend music event for not only Lake Martin-area residents, but music-loving people from throughout the Southeast and beyond. This year’s event kicked off last night, July 24, and by the time it concludes on Sunday, more than 30 songwriters will have played at over 15 local venues including an extended Friday night at Russell Crossroads.
Mark your calendar, check the schedule on the Lake Martin Songwriter’s Festival website and be sure to join us.
We are excited for the entire week, but we’re super pumped about Friday night at Russell Crossroads! We will host the 20 and Under competition which begins at 5pm and features up-and-coming songwriters from all over. And the Super Writers’ rounds will begin at 6:30. Wow, what a great lineup of writers we have.
The first round showcases Marty Brown, Jenna LaMaster, and Trick Savage.
Round Two brings Charlie Argo, Sam Banks, and CJ Field to the stage.
Headlining the evening is the Old Hickory Trio with Dan Alley, Andy Austin, and Timothy Baker. Old Hickory is currently one of the most-sought-after bands in Nashville. We are pumped to have them play on our stage!
Grab your comfy stuff and join us for a great night of music under the stars as the Lake Martin Songwriter’s Festival returns to the Town Green at Russell Crossroads this Friday.
