We’re only a couple of days away from the 16th running of the Russell Forest Run 5K and 10K. It’s exciting to watch the registrations come in! This year, as we have in other years, we welcome a number of local folks and those who may come from many miles away!

There’s still time to register! Online registration will be open until 7:15am on race day. It’s easy to do at www.russellforestrun.com, or scan the QR code on this page. Then, following your run up to Heaven (10K), you can join all your friends at The Stables for our World-Famous Grits Bar and enjoy some live music from The Bank Walkers!

Both courses are through the scenic forest on roads made of soft sand and clay with some gravel mixed in. In other words, good ole Alabama red clay roads.

The Russell Forest Run benefits a great cause in the Alexander City Schools Education Foundation. All registration is done online, but do it before midnight February 21, because the registration fee increases at that time.
