Progress Report—The Willow Point Addition

New waterfront homesites taking shape

Two weeks ago, we updated our newsletter subscribers on the ongoing work at the newest addition to the Willow Point community, The Willows Phase 4. Since that report, we have made significant progress despite the spring rainfall.

The most important progress was in making our near-final property line decisions. This process is a bit tricky during the road building process since bulldozers have no respect for roadside property stakes. We can, however, set the all-important waterfront property corner stakes. If you come by boat, you can look for the numbered white stakes on the potential corners.

When you see these stakes, there are lot numbers on each side to identify the respective lots. For instance, the property line stake for lots 32 and 33 will have the number 32 painted on the lot 32 side and 33 painted on the lot 33 side. That will help you identify the lot or lots that strike your interest.

We have also started the process of clearing the building site for each lot. In some cases, this is the demolition of a rental cabin. In most cases, this involves the very careful process of hand-clearing small trees and underbrush. The goal of the clearing is to identify the best driveway entry and the ideal site for the home, as well as to open up the views to the lake while protecting the mature timber for which this area is noted.

For the lots where this work has been completed, the results are amazing. The beauty of the Pitchford Hollow area and the attractive topography are slowly being revealed as work progresses. For a sneak peek at just how beautiful these lots are, just watch the video below.

What comes next?

We will continue to work on road building and careful lot clearing in the coming weeks. Our hope is to make properties available first to our best customers and those who have expressed an early interest. Then, we will bring the property to the open market.
