New addition rising at Russell Crossroads

Have you ridden through Russell Crossroads recently and wondered, “What is that being built across from Catherine’s Market?” The newest addition to Russell Crossroads is a clock tower. Yes, very soon Russell Crossroads will have its very own Clock Tower and Sundial Park!

clock-tower-sign-325pxA lot of the reason for the look and feel of Russell Crossroads is to take you back in time a few years to when life wasn’t so hectic—to walk around town, see and experience things that you don’t normally get to see. That’s why in the fall, when the Fall Family Festival is held at Russell Crossroads, we have a blacksmith in the Blacksmith Shop, and a grist mill on site grinding corn into meal. Now, with the creation of Times Square, you will be able to see how a clock works and experience a working sundial.

The completion date hasn’t been set, but when all the construction is done, Times Square at Russell Crossroads will offer a multisided clock with working mechanism—parts of which you should be able to see—and a sundial park where you should be able to tell time using the sun! A learning experience and fun at the same time!

So, next time you are at Russell Crossroads, take a look across from Catherine’s Market and watch as Times Square continues to take shape!
