Marina Showrooms to Reopen This Friday

Published: 04.30.2020

Ensuring the health and safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority, especially during these troubling times. We are committed to doing our part to contain the spread of COVID-19. Effective Friday, May 1, we will reopen all Russell Marine retail showrooms. This said, we will limit the number of customers allowed in the store at a time based on square footage to enable social distancing of six feet. All employees and customers will be required to wear gloves.

In addition to our standard cleaning practices and adhering to recommendations from the CDC, we continue to take extra care to prevent contamination and the spread of the virus. Each of our locations will continue to be thoroughly cleaned with disinfectant. We have also communicated to our staff the importance of remaining home if they become ill.

We ask that our guests help us maintain a healthy environment by using common sense practices recommended by the CDC:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in a public place, blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover all coughs and sneezes.
  • Remain home when sick.
  • Wearing face covering around people from other households is recommended.

Our gas docks will remain fully staffed during normal business hours. However, all boaters must remain in the boat while it is being refueled unless you need something from the marina. As an added layer of protection, our dock hands will continue to wear protective gloves and face masks while they attend to your boat. During off-business hours, we hope you will make use of one of our 24-hour gas pumps at Kowaliga and The Ridge.

We will continue to service boats and personal watercraft. We ask you to please call your marina to schedule your needed service. If you are interested in purchasing a boat, please call one of our sales team members at any of our marinas. Financing staff is still available. If your boat is still in storage, call your marina and let the team know what to stock your boat with so it will be ready when you arrive. If your boat is at Kowaliga, The Ridge, or River North, the SpeedyDock App can be used to schedule the launch of your boat.

If you need a new rope, tube, lifejacket, or anything else to make your day on the water an enjoyable one, our pro shop is offering a 20% discount on all in-stock items (excluding watercraft and fuel).

Extended hours coming soon

As always, our team members will be available to you by phone and email during our regular hours of operation—Tuesday through Friday from 9am-5pm and Saturday from 9am-4pm. Starting Sunday, May 10, we will open seven days a week. Our hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 9am-4pm.

Let’s all do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19. Remember…social distancing even applies on the lake. So please, do not raft up or beach your boat with other boats, as this creates an unsafe environment. If we all do our part, we can all stay safe and soon return to better days on the water.
