Published: 06.29.2022

We’ve got loads of fun stuff for your family this Fourth of July weekend. Come to the lake and have the time of your life!

Wildlife Presentations

Friday, July 1 – 6-8pm
Saturday & Sunday, July 2 & 3 – 9am–4pm

Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads

Stop into the Naturalist Cabin during Arti Gras to see some local Russell Forest representatives and learn about the role they play in the woods. You’ll discover what they eat, how they live, and what types of habitats they prefer. Naturalist Marianne will be on hand to interpret the displays and also tell you all about the myths surrounding some of our local wildlife.

For some, the 4th of July celebration on Lake Martin starts today! We can’t think of a much better way to start the celebration than Friday On The Green with Jonathan Bloom! Jonathan has been a part of the FOG lineup for years, and we are glad he is back this season. Of course, he will play all of your favorites and more! Come early to get a great spot on the Green.

Grab the kids, the pup (on a leash), your friends and your comfy stuff and head down to Friday On The Green!

If you are wanting to give yoga a try, then this is the place to start! Be sure to bring your mat and water bottle!

We are excited to announce the line-up for the Fourth of July Concert will be, from Alexander City, The Bank Walkers and former contestant on The Voice, Andrew Jannakos. A Flowery Branch, Georgia, native, Andrew grew up in a small-town neighborhood where barbecue parties and backyard soccer games were everyday events. Today, that sense of community translates to his over one million followers across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Since Jannakos first teased his breakout single, “Gone Too Soon,” in a viral clip now viewed over ten million times, that community is only getting stronger.
