Over the years, the Lions Lake Martin Charity Poker Run has raised approximately $300,000 to touch peoples’ lives through local charities. This is truly one of the best events on the lake all year! Crews dress up in themes, decorate their boats and have a great time. We’ve seen Dogs at Poker, Pirates, Martians, Gilligan’s Island, Mermaids—you name it. Just when we think we’ve seen it all, someone gets creative and breaks the mold! They are competing for prize money, after all.

After checking in at Kowaliga Marina, participants draw a card from five different marina locations on Lake Martin hoping to build the winning hand. Travel from Kowaliga Marina to Real Island to Harbor Pointe, then River North and The Ridge. Costumes and boats are judged at each stop, and the winners are announced at the after party at The Ridge Marina (must be present to win), where there will be food, prizes and live music by the Russell Craig Band!

Entry fee is $175 which includes an official Poker Run T-shirt, a Lake Martin Summer T-shirt, a Russell Marine bag, koozies, boat flag and two meal tickets. Participants under 18 may enter with a parent or a guardian.

Bigger Prizes

Highest Hand – 1st: $2,000, 2nd: $1,000, and 3rd: $750

Worst Hand – 1st: $1,000, 2nd: $600, and 3rd: $400

Best Crew – 1st: $600, 2nd: $500, and 3rd: $300

The awards for Best Crew will be at the discretion of event management. Crews will be judged on originality, creativity, appearance and fun!
