Labor Day Music Fest
Friday & Saturday, September 2 & 3 – 6:30-9:30pm
The Town Green at Russell Crossroads
FREE!

This year, we are moving our Labor Day Concert from The AMP to the Town Green at Russell Crossroads and turning it into our inaugural Labor Day Music Fest. Instead of one night of music, we are now doing two! Instead of selling tickets, this event is FREE! Grab the family and friends, your comfy stuff, and the leash for the pup—then join in the fun with great music from some rising artists! Of course, we’ll put out the cornhole, giant Jenga, and hula hoops, and there will be a food truck on hand! Take a look at the lineup below, give the snip a listen, and plan to join us on the Town Green!

The Stews – Friday, September 2, 8:00pm

Blending rock, alternative, indie and a few other favorite genres, The Stews is a band that cannot be confined to just one sound. Spawned out of impromptu basement jam sessions in the fall of 2020, the band started as a group of friends who happened to be musicians. This chemistry is what fuels their electric live shows and allows them to write the music that they love to play.  The Stews are Preston Hall, Blake Dobbs, Bennett Baugus, and Wyatt Griffith. In March of 2021, the band chose five songs of their works compiled over the past year of playing and traveled to Muscle Shoals to record their debut EP at Fame Studios. The Stews EP was released soon after, and they currently have nearly 40,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. They just released “Waste of Time” to great reviews!

Supper Club – Friday, September 2, 6:30pm

Newcomer, Supper Club, has been catching the ears of audiences around the South who have quickly become fans of this band from Auburn! Their live shows have proven they can get a crowd rocking. Combining sounds from rock, Americana, and indie music, plus just a little bit of jamming (Supper Club is not a jam band), the four piece will set the stage on fire to open the night.

Supper Club went into Auburn’s WEGL studio last year to perform a WEGL Session, which can be found here.

Hotel Fiction – Saturday, September 3, 8:00pm

Hotel Fiction is an Athens, Georgia-based band consisting of best friends Jade Long and Jessica Thompson. Both women have been playing music since they were 12 and began writing, performing, and playing together in January 2019. Last year, Hotel Fiction released their debut single “Astronaut Kids” to all streaming platforms which received a very warm welcome from local audiences and several major U.S. cities. Hotel Fiction’s sound has often been described as genre-fluid, with indie, pop, and rock influences. With Jade’s dynamic vocals and piano and Jessica’s complementing lead guitar and harmonies, the two create a unique experience for listeners. Jade and Jess are making their dreams come true one day at a time. They have been playing shows around the country with bands like Flipturn, Adam Melchor, Beach Fossils, Birmingham’s The Brook & The Bluff, and more!

Last summer, they released their debut album Soft Focus and are currently working on new music coming very soon. Jade and Jess feel very grateful to do this whole music thing, and they hope their music can make bad days (and good days) even better.
