Key amenity reaches a design milestone

We published a press release two weeks ago regarding the completion of preliminary design work on a key amenity for The Heritage. This key amenity, The Heritage Lake Club, is a common amenity that will serve all property owners in this new development. The new club will be located on a beautiful piece of waterfront property between the first phase of residential properties and the new Wicker Point Golf Club.

While membership in the Wicker Point Golf Club and use of those facilities is voluntary, Lake Club access will come with the purchase of property in The Heritage development and will be part of The Heritage Homeowners’ Association.

The Lake Club will provide all Heritage property owners a place to gather with family, friends, and neighbors to enjoy an array of resort-style amenities. The clubhouse building will include a large indoor event space with a catering kitchen and event bar, a fully equipped fitness facility and expansive views of the lake from covered verandas.

The Lake Club grounds will offer extensive outdoor amenities including a saline pool with an adjacent grill facility, eight tennis courts, a tennis pro-shop and eight pickleball courts. Guests will enjoy a beautiful event lawn, covered pavilions, firepits, waterfront beach area, and community dock system. The Lake Club is designed by renowned Atlanta-based architectural firm Cooper Carry. Construction will commence following the completion of the golf clubhouse in spring of 2023.

Construction of the golf course is right on schedule. Grass planting began on hole number 8 with the goal of having sod on three-to-five holes before year’s end. Future milestones include the continued shaping of fairways and the creation of bunkers, tees, and greens in advance of sodding the next group of holes. Stay tuned for future news related to the commencement of construction for the Wicker Point Golf Club clubhouse.

Road construction that will access the Wicker Point Golf Club is underway. This new road system will include a bridge over one of the several creeks on the property and terminate at the location of the future golf club.

The design for the road that will access the first phase of waterfront homesites in The Heritage on the Wicker Point peninsula is nearly completeA future update will be sent once we receive the City’s approval of that design—likely in mid-December. Construction would commence immediately following that approval.

Due to the large amount of construction traffic, access will be limited to authorized workers for the next several months.
