Phase 3 is taking shape

One of Lake Martin’s most distinctive shorelines, the Wicker Point Peninsula, is undergoing its final stage of transformation. Over the past two years, the western and central sections (Phase 1 and Phase 2) were transformed from forest and rental cabins into a new residential development, The Heritage.

Since this property is so special, we wanted the homesites to be special as well. We were blessed to have land that was gently rolling from a low ridge (that is perfect for road building) down to pristine shoreline.

To preserve the mature forest, our land planners created large lots, well over an acre with 250 feet of shoreline on average. Since it is a peninsula that extends into the largest open body of water on the lake, the views from each lot range from special to spectacular.

Phase 3, due to be released this spring, will also be very special. While others have been cooped up this winter, our road-building crews have been busy putting the roads in to give access to these beautiful homesites. If you have not heard about The Heritage, it is Lake Martin’s newest master-planned community. Consisting of 1,500 acres of land and 12 miles of shoreline, The Heritage is home to the new Coore and Crenshaw-designed Wicker Point Golf Club. While the golf club is private, Heritage owners enjoy life in a private, gated community and a resort-style residential club, The Benjamin Lake Club.


The Benjamin Lake Club

The lake club is a waterfront amenity that includes a two-story clubhouse facility with event space, owners’ bar, fitness center, and aerobics room. The outdoor amenities include a resort pool complex, community docks, beach, tennis and pickleball courts, walking paths, and event lawns. Given its waterfront location and features, The Benjamin will be an unmatched amenity on Lake Martin. Brasfield & Gorrie began construction of the club last fall with completion scheduled for June of 2025.

We are excited about the properties being developed in Phase 3.
