A tale of two models

The Heritage has proven to be Lake Martin’s most talked about new master-planned gated community. With amenities like the private Wicker Point Golf Club (completed last fall) and the owners’ lake club, The Benjamin (scheduled to open in June of 2025), The Heritage promises to be one of the most amenity-rich waterfront developments on the lake.

Sales of properties have been brisk. Over the past 24 months, 107 properties have sold, virtually all of them to property owners with a desire to build their dream lake home. Builders have been very busy building these new high-end custom homes, so busy that they have not be able to build model homes. That is until recently.

We are proud to announce the completion of one model home and the commencement of another.

The Completed Model (OPEN this weekend)

Located at 438 Luanne’s Way, this model was just completed. This beautiful lake home was designed by Mitch Ginn, who also designed the Whidbey and Portico lake homes (see our plans). Mitch is one of the lake’s favorite designers, with projects in virtually every high-end neighborhood on the lake. For this home, Mitch used his extensive experience to design a beautiful multi-generational lake home.

We call it multi-generational because there is lots of room for the extended family or an owner with an abundance of lake friends. With five bedroom suites (one above the garage for a gabble of grandkids), there is room for everyone. There are two of virtually everything important spread over the main and lake levels—two living rooms, two powder rooms, two laundry rooms, two kitchens (a summer kitchen on the lower level), and two fireplaces (one outside).

This lake home is well located, just a quick cart ride or canoe paddle from the owner’s club. This property is ready to go. Check it out this weekend—it will be open 11am-3pm Saturday and 12-3pm Sunday.

The Furnished Model (Framing underway)

This home, being built at 728 Luanne’s Way, is destined to be one of our fully furnished model homes for The Heritage. Construction commenced last month, and the carpenters have started going skyward with framing this week. This design was customized for a Russell Lands community by Arther Rutenberg (AR Homes), who designs high-end homes around the country.

The model is being built by David Bonamy, the Alabama AR Homes franchisee, who has several premium lake homes to his credit. This home will feature four luxurious bedroom suites on three levels. On the main level, you will find a dreamy master suite, beautiful living room, private office, powder room, laundry room, butler’s pantry, a gourmet kitchen inside, and an outdoor kitchen with grill outside. The lower level provides two additional suites, an oversized rec room, bar, wine display station, and expansive outdoor living space.

Any furnished model should show off the latest in furniture style, fabric trends, and color schemes. AR Homes’ interior design team is famous for their abilities. We are excited to have this new addition to The Heritage to help prospective residents see, feel, and experience a lake home.
