Starting the Fourth of July, Naturalist Marianne will be toying with your senses—or at least one of them—as she challenges your sense of touch.
Fourth of July Boat Parade

Kowaliga
It’s a long-time Lake Martin tradition, and it seems to grow every year. Scores of boats will again parade from Kowaliga to Children’s Harbor in a festive and patriotic holiday display. Local veterans will occupy the lead boat in the parade.
Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks
Gates open at 5pm
Music starts at 6:30pm
Fireworks at 9pm
Music continues until 10:30pm
The Southeast’s largest Fourth of July fireworks show will once again explode from The AMP on Lake Martin at 9pm! Come claim your spot on the Grassy Lawn before 6:30 when The Bank Walkers will take the stage with some great Lake Martin-based music! Around 7:30, we’ll have our Hula Hoop Contest, and this year, the Twist Contest is back with prizes for the best hoopers and twisters! At 8, from Gadsden, Alabama, we welcome The Tyn Tymes!
Arti Gras
Friday & Saturday, July 5 & 6 – 9am-3pm
The Town Green at Russell Crossroads
The eighth annual Arti Gras at Russell Crossroads will be held Friday, July 5, and Saturday, July 6 on the Town Green and is turning out to be our biggest yet!
Wine Tasting
Friday, July 5 – 5-7pm
Catherine’s Market
Our wine tasting tastings are usually well-stocked with tables full of friends, conversation and laughter. The tasting is only $5, and you’ll receive 15% off of wine purchases from that night’s selections. How cool is that?
Friday on the Green with Jonathan Bloom
Friday, July 5- 6:30-8:30pm
The Town Green at Russell Crossroads
Come join the Friday On The Green gang tonight at Russell Crossroads for lawn games and the music of Jonathan Bloom! You had a great 4th of July and now it’s time to sit back with the fam and friends and take it easy! Bring the things that make you comfortable, including your pup on a leash and enjoy some great music on the softest grass ever – the Town Green at Russell Crossroads!
