The AMP on Lake Martin

Join us on the grassy lawn at The AMP for the Southeast’s largest fireworks show and concert. We always have a fun time with great music, then we light the sky with a million colors! Claim your spot early and get ready to have some fun.

We are excited to announce the line-up for the Fourth of July Concert will be, from Alexander City, The Bank Walkers; then at 8pm, American Idol champ, Taylor Hicks takes charge! He’ll be preforming his hits and some Bob Seger classics. If you have never witnessed the fireworks from The AMP, this year would be a great one to do so. Once you see them illuminating the sky with millions of colors right overhead, you’ll never want to watch them from anywhere else! Bring your chairs and cooler—food trucks will be on hand!

Wildlife Presentations

Friday & Saturday, July 5 & 6 – 9am-4pm
Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads

Stop into the Naturalist’s Cabin during Arti Gras or Friday on the Green to see an exhibit of local Russell Forest representatives and learn about the role they play in the woods. You’ll discover what they eat, how they live, and what types of habitats they prefer. Naturalist Marianne will be on hand to interpret the displays and also tell you all about the myths surrounding some of our local wildlife. There will be plenty to learn about! No charge—everyone is welcome!

Arti Gras

Russell Crossroads

Arti Gras returns to the Town Green at Russell Crossroads. Artisans and patrons from all over the Southeast gather for this vast annual display of handmade goods. Artisans feature everything from jewelry, soaps, paintings, pottery, woodwork, lotions, furniture, and much more!

Jonathan has been a part of the FOG lineup for years, and we are glad he is back this season. Of course, he will play all of your favorites and more! Come early to get a great spot on the Green.

Grab the kids, the pup (on a leash), your friends and your comfy stuff and head down to Friday On The Green!

We have a wonderful group of certified instructors again this year, a big thanks to them – Barbara Sokol, Abby Brown Glass, and Cammy Day.
