Woodland Rivalries

It’s Iron Bowl weekend and we are thinking of the matching “teams” of predators and prey. Each brings its physical attributes and wits to the field when it comes to survival, and we will compare and contrast the features that help each species achieve victories in Russell Forest. Example: the rabbit’s large ears observe even the quietest of sounds, but the owl’s silent wings are a tool designed to overcome the other team’s defenses! In addition to discussing such forest match-ups, we will note that many Russell Forest species have characteristics that are easy to align with those of our favorite athletes. Which species is the kicker and which is the quarterback? Drop by and laugh and learn with our Naturalist as we compare forest life to rivalries in the stadium.

Program is appropriate for all ages. No charge – everyone is welcome!
