June 23, 2023 | 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Russell Craig
Russell was born in Dothan, Alabama with an ear for music and a passion for helping others. As a child, Russell was diagnosed with a rare genetic eye condition known as Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP). He began his musical training when he was just 10, first learning to read music with the help of magnification and later by training his ear to identify the pitches. Russell has been performing in front of large audiences since he was a freshman in high school.
Throughout his career, Russell has been the opening act for country music legends and other popular Nashville recording acts. In addition to his live performances, Russell has written and recorded a number of original tunes. His two latest singles, “Rain” and “I’m Over You,” as well as his album “Call Me the Rain” are available on all music streaming apps.
When Russell is not on stage, he is working with children and adults with disabilities. He currently works at the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) as a vocational evaluator.
Whether in the classroom or on the big stage, Russell Craig is always ready to inspire and encourage others to reach their potential and follow their dreams.
