A Hiking We Will Go – Guided Nature Hike – Willow Point Trailhead

July 31, 2021 | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

LET’S SPEND SOME TIME IN WOODS!  The cool thing about hiking this time of year is there is a nice canopy of trees and leaves to help block the summer sun. So, when you join Naturalist Marianne for this hike, you will be in the woods for about 2 hours identifying a great variety of plant and animal life. In addition to learning from the finds in the forest, you could search for wet residents keeping cool in summer temperatures. This energetic hike will offer both learning and exercise. Insect repellent and sunscreen will be provided – bring your own drinking water and comfortable shoes – preferably some that can get wet! Appropriate for participants ages 5 – 105.

*PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE FOR THESE FOREST TOURS: 256-496-2710*

REGISTRATION REQUIRED! There is a $10 fee for this program. Please contact our Naturalist at 256-496-2710 or [email protected] to inquire and to register.

We do recommend that you are able to stand or walk for at least two hours. Walking pace will be relaxed, with frequent stops. You may want to pack your own sunscreen, insect repellant, and a bottle of water. Remember, there are no bathrooms in the Russell Forest.
