Another Great Russell Forest Run in the Books!

Published: 03.03.2022

What a great day it was Saturday, February 26 at Russell Crossroads. Almost 400 runners registered to run the 10K or 5K course through the forest, and for the most part, all we saw were smiling faces.

The Russell Forest Run 10K has been deemed one of the more difficult courses in this part of the state—mostly for the hills—but the result is a GREAT view from atop Heaven Hill as you turn and head toward the finish line. Luckily, that last mile is mostly downhill toward The Stables for the post-race party!

This run relies on a huge number of volunteers, from the parking crew and the servers at the grits bar to the band and those preparing the hydration station and directing runners through the course! A HUGE thank you to all who volunteered, to our sponsors, and to all the runners!

Go ahead and add the date to your calendar for the 14th annual Russell Forest Run. It will be Saturday, February 25, 2023! We hope to see you then!
