Adopt a Segment of 63 Pride Drive

Published: 06.17.2020

Maybe you have noticed and even wondered what is happening on Highway 63 South of Ourtown. Doesn’t it look great with that bright green grass! The grade work and grass are just the beginning of a new program called 63 Pride Drive!

Established by Russell Lands and Lake Martin Resource Association, 63 Pride Drive is designed to encourage volunteer/public participation in controlling litter year-round on Highway 63. Individuals, families, businesses, educational institutions, houses of worship, organizations, civic groups, and youth groups are invited to adopt a section of Highway 63. This helps provide for a cleaner, healthier, and more attractive recreational environment for Lake Martin and the surrounding community.

Although still in its infancy, several of the Phase 1 segments have already been adopted. Take a look at the interactive map and you will find descriptions of each of the nine segments. Plus, you will see which segments have already been adopted. We would love for you to join us. Simply complete the volunteer form and claim a segment of your own. We will provide you with your own trash picker, t-shirt, safety vest, and a supply of bags. Come be part of 63 Pride Drive—we would love to have you!
