A Free (Slightly Creepy) Wildlife Tour
Published: 09.11.2014
Snakes! Spiders! Scorpions! While we don’t have to love every creature in nature, it’s important to respect all of our woodland residents – and understand the important role each plays in keeping the natural balance in our environment.
Join resident Naturalist, Marianne for a fun, informative wildlife tour that looks at some of Russell Forest’s less popular specimens: snakes, scorpions, spiders, and even mosquitoes.
Remember, the tour is FREE and everyone is welcome!
WHEN: Saturday, September 13 – 11am, 1pm and 3pm
WHERE: Naturalist Cabin at Russell Crossroads
For more information, please contact Marianne at 256.496.2710 or [email protected].
A reminder for all nature tours: It’s recommended that participants have a moderate fitness level and are able to stand or walk for at least two hours. Walking pace will be relaxed with frequent stops. Please wear comfortable, seasonally-appropriate clothing and shoes. Binoculars and cameras are welcome. And remember, there are no bathrooms on the Forest Trails.
